MARQUETTE -- You can make a difference in a child's Christmas this year.

Marquette Mountain is looking for you to donate toys for the Mining Journal Cheer Club, and if you bring in a $10 toy Friday on opening day, they'll give you a free lift ticket.

Last year they filled an entire truck full of toys.  Officials say they had more than 200.

"I think any toy out there, or if you know of any family out there, just let us know or let the Mining Journal know, if they're just a little bit too ashamed to ask for help, just one toy will change that Christmas for any little boy or girl," said Jessie Melchiori of Marquette Mountain.

The Mining Journal Cheer Club will donate the toys to children in the community.
