MARQUETTE -- The man found guilty on explosive charges was sentenced in federal court in Marquette on Thursday.
John Lechner of Sault Ste. Marie was sentenced to 51 months in prison and will pay a $6,000 fine.
Lechner was found guilty by a jury in June on counts of transportation of explosive material and improper storage of explosive material. The case stemmed from an incident of 4,000 pounds of explosives being discovered in a shed in Dafter, Michigan connected to Lechner.
During his sentencing on Thursday, Lechner took half an hour reading a letter he wrote to the judge.
