MARQUETTE -- Saturday marked the beginning of the third annual Winter Outback Art Fair in Marquette.

The two-day event, hosted at the National Guard Armory, features about 25 vendors from across Marquette County and one as far away as Wisconsin.

The show is a winter spin-off of the popular summer Outback Art Fair, which has been going on for nearly two decades.

Shoppers perused jewelry, woven rugs, and a variety of other holiday inspired gifts.

"Just another way for local vendors to get out there; especially with it being Small Business Saturday, it pulls small businesses together for another avenue to get those Christmas sales," said Cindy Engle, an organizer.

The art fair continues Sunday at 11 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m.

Attendants are encouraged to bring food to donate to the TV6 Canathon!
