IRON MOUNTAIN -- AAA is teaming up with Iron and Dickinson County's law enforcement in an attempt to wake kids up to the dangers of driving.

Within the next month AAA will be loaning the two counties a computer with several driving simulation programs.

The simulator is extremely realistic and lifelike.

Kids will need to use turning signals, even working rear and side view mirrors.

Students will even see the consequences of a crash.

Jack Peet, traffic safety manager of AAA, says, "It simulates use of driving on the roadway," and "things to get kids to recognize how dangerous it is to drive distracted."

Once law enforcement receives the machine they will take turns bringing the equipment into schools to educate kids.
