IRON RIVER -- One pasty restaurant in Iron River is collecting donations for the victims of hurricane Sandy on the East Coast.

The owner of the Pasty Corner in Iron River is collecting donations. Wally Rankin is trying to fill up his trailer to deliver to New Jersey.

They are asking for jackets, blankets, shovels, and any canned good items.

"I've been watching this on the news, and being a Christian, the Lord has told us this is something you need to do. Help your brother, and these people are in definite need. So it's what we are supposed to do," said Rankin.

He will leave with his trailer to New Jersey Wednesday morning. Once he gets there, all the donations will be delivered to the Salvation Army.
