Police arrest man on meth charges

MARQUETTE -- A 21-year-old man was arrested in Marquette on Tuesday night after police believe he possessed meth components.

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team said that they observed the man buying components used in a meth lab cooking operation. The Michigan State Police performed a traffic stop, resulting in the arrest of the 21-year-old man.

The suspect is currently lodged at the Marquette County Jail and the investigation was handed over to the Marquette County Prosecutor's Office. If the man is convicted he could face 10 years in prison.
