Former village clerk arrested on embezzlement charges

CRYSTAL FALLS -- An Iron County man has been arrested on embezzlement charges.
Deputies from the Iron County Sheriff's Department arrested a 34-year-old Alpha man on an eight count felony warrant.
Authorities say between March and August of this year, he embezzled money from the village of Alpha while he was employed as the Alpha Village Clerk.
He was released on bond and ordered to appear for arraignment November 13. His name will be released following his arraignment.
