TRENARY -- Over 100 people stopped by the Trenary Community Building Saturday to check off some Christmas shopping from their to-do lists.

It was the holiday bazaar, a long-standing annual tradition in Trenary.  Twenty-one vendors offered a wide variety of handmade crafts, many of which were of a Christmas theme.  There were knitted clothes, wooden items and even Finnish candy and baked goods.  There was also plenty of soup and sandwiches for sale.

The holiday bazaar was organized by the Trenary senior citizens for the second year in a row.

"It's a way of getting the community together, and it's also a moneymaker for our club, so we can do many things," said senior citizens' organization president, Loretta Hoy.

Funds raised from the holiday bazaar go to the Senior Citizens Scholarship Fund.
