MARQUETTE -- Members of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity at Northern Michigan University are helping local food pantries stock up for the winter.

High Sticking Against Hunger is in its sixth year.  They'll be tailgating before the NMU hockey game Saturday.  If you bring a few canned goods or other non-perishable items to donate, you have a chance to win some raffle prizes.

"There are a bunch of families who struggle with purchasing food throughout the year and especially during the winter. We do this just because we know that there are people out there struggling to purchase food during the winter months, so we want to be able to help the community out as best that we could," said Rafeal Arroyo from Alpha Sigma Phi.

The Wildcats will be taking on the University of Michigan Wolverines; that game begins at 7:30.  The tailgating tent will be up in the parking lot of the Berry Events Center beginning at 4 p.m.  There will also be food and beverages at the event.
