HARVEY -- The Silver Creek Church in Harvey saw its fair share of trick or treaters Wednesday night.  They held their annual harvest party. More than 500 costumed kids turned up ready for candy and fun. Organizers say this is a safe place to play a number of games and get some candy.

"We really think that our community needs something of a safe environment for kids to come out on a night like tonight and to have a positive experience. It gives our church family the opportunity to serve our community and really get to a face-to-face experience with them," said Pastor Kevin Taylor of Silver Creek Church.

Dozens of games were set up, and at each station, kids could get some candy. They also provided hotdogs, popcorn and bottled water.
