MARQUETTE -- Northstar Academy in Marquette had a special Halloween celebration Wednesday.

The Jobs for America's Graduates high school students at Northstar created a party for elementary kids with each classroom offering different activities. Among other games, students played monster bingo, had a dance party and an egg relay. While the elementary kids had fun, the high schoolers learned about how much work goes into planning a party.

"I think they're having just a great time. They're having so much fun. You'll see that when you walk into the classes, seeing big kids, high school kids, acting as mentors and being really responsible, excited adults in their life," said Sarah Johnson, JAG Teacher.

Elementary students had the chance to do more than a dozen activities. The Jobs for Americas Graduates program is a partnership between Michigan Works and Northstar Academy.
