MARQUETTE -- U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan was at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette Monday afternoon to talk with veterans.

Senator Stabenow met with several veterans who endorsed her for re-election in a radio campaign ad.  Supporters said Stabenow earned their vote because of her attention to their medical needs when they returned from serving in the military.

"I am so thrilled to have the support of veterans.  My dad served in World War II.  They really are the people we should thank for our freedoms, to even have elections and disagreements and speak out as Americans," said Stabenow.

Following her stop at the library, Stabenow visited Democratic campaign headquarters in Marquette.
