HOLLAND (AP) -- Severe weather bearing down on the East Coast could lead to dangerous conditions on the Great Lakes. The National Weather Service has issued Great Lakes gale and storm warnings in effect through Wednesday.

The weather service says waves on Lake Michigan could be up to 18 feet by this afternoon, then build to 20 to 33 feet tomorrow.
