MARQUETTE -- Little ghouls and goblins took over downtown Marquette Saturday evening for the city's annual business trick or treat.

The Marquette Downtown Development Authority sponsors the outing every year.

The DDA says the event offers a safe way for kids to have fun and interact with local businesses.

"It offers parents an opportunity to go door-to-door, to go into businesses to see what's going on in them, and also it offers them a safe and fun experience with Halloween," said Emily Lanctot of the DDA.

The DDA says dozens of businesses up and down the district took part in the fun.
