ALGER COUNTY -- The Michigan Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of Casey Trobridge.

He was found guilty last year of ethnic intimidation, involving an interracial couple from Trenary. He was sentenced to nine months in jail, with 45 days to be served immediately and 18 months probation.

During the trial, Alger County Prosecutor Karen Bahrman argued that Trobridge fabricated his testimony. The appeals court says that this comment was in error, but does not warrant reversal.

Trobridge said the court also erred by stopping him from introducing a piece of evidence and that there was insufficient evidence for a conviction, but the appeals court disagreed.
