The event honored two individuals

MARQUETTE -- Child and Family Services in the U.P. honored two special individuals Sunday. They call it the Rays of Hope Dinner. This year, the benefit dinner honored Betty Dahn and Judge Michael Anderegg, two dedicated members of the community who have played an important role in foster care over many years.

The dinner was held at the Masonic Temple in Marquette. Judge Anderegg was unable to attend, but each were awarded a plaque in thanks for their many years of helping foster kids and families.

“We all have to be very thankful for these people who are willing to take foster children into their homes and raise them as if they were their own,” says board member Julie Frazier. “I mean, this is amazing.”

Around 60 people arrived for the dinner to honor Dahn and Judge Anderegg.
