Man gets prison time for meth

MARQUETTE -- A Michigamme man has been sentenced to three years in prison for possession of methamphetamine.

Mathew David Querfeld, 29, was arrested in Ishpeming in August for driving under the influence of drugs. While searching his vehicle, police found components of a meth lab and a small amount of methamphetamine.

Querfeld pled guilty to the meth charges and to assault and battery. He was also ordered to pay $300 in restitution on the assault charges.
