MARQUETTE -- The man shot during an attempted home invasion in Marquette has been sentenced to jail time.

Twenty-four-year-old Jesse Homa was sentenced to 12 months in the Marquette County Jail. Marquette County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Solka gave him 34 days already served. Homa was also ordered to pay $748 in restitution.

He had pled guilty to the third degree home invasion, which is a felony charge. In June, Homa was taken into custody after breaking down the door of a Marquette mobile home. The homeowner shot him twice in the leg.

Homa admitted to being heavily intoxicated during the incident.
