MARQUETTE -- Dozens of community members chose to walk or run for a cure at the Superior Dome in Marquette this Sunday. Around 70 people participated in the fourth annual Lemon Run put on by the Northern Michigan University's chapter of Alex's Lemonade Stand, a non-profit organization for Pediatric Cancer.
"Pediatric cancer is just really close to my heart. I've had a few friends that have died of cancer, family members, just cancer in general is close to my heart. Children have so much of a life to live. They shouldn't have to deal with cancer," said co-organizer Elizabeth Sabin.
The organization hopes to raise around $4,000 for the cause.
