The Negaunee Eagles are holding a coed pool tournament as a fundraiser for a local woman stricken with breast cancer.

Jo Ellen Fetterhoff is a 29-year-old woman who's fighting cancer. She underwent a double mastectomy and is currently receiving chemotherapy treatments.

Friends and family are throwing this fundraiser to help her offset her medical costs and to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

"You ask people for something and they've been more than generous, in some cases, and working for a small business, I understand that everybody gets hit up for all kinds of fundraisers, and the response has been fabulous," said Fetterhoff's stepmother, Linda Fetterhoff. "I can't thank everybody enough for how much they've done."

The event is Saturday at the Negaunee Eagles. The cost is $20 per team and play starts at noon.

There will be door prizes, an auction, and food available that a number of local businesses and groups donated for the fundraiser.
