ESCANABA -- Smart Style Family Hair salon at the Escanaba Walmart is raising money for breast cancer research.  It's called "Clip for the Cure".

On Saturday, October 13, getting your hair cut can help find a cure.  That's because 10 percent of all of the money collected on that day will be donated to the Regis Foundation for breast cancer research.

More ways to help the cause are to participate in a drawing and the silent auction display set up at the salon.

"Just come in; you can do a cash donation.  We are doing our drawing that has tickets. They're two dollars a piece and three for five dollars, so not only are you donating for a great cause, you could also win a fantastic prize from a lot of local businesses," said Salon Manager, Ashley Lavigne.

Store officials say through all the companies together, they've raised one million dollars for the cause.
