Contract talks resume for mine workers

DULUTH, MN -- Cliffs Natural Resources and the United Steelworkers of America resumed contract negotiations in Duluth, Minnesota Monday.

The two sides failed to reach a new contract by the September 1 deadline, but they agreed to extend the contract while negotiations continue. The Empire and Tilden mines continue to operate as usual.
