ESCANABA -- The Bonifas Fine Arts Center in Escanaba is having its second annual open house.
It's this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and it's a free day of family fun. The gallery exhibit is called 'Peanuts at Bat,' and it runs until Oct. 31. The special events director says a lot of kids may not be familiar with Peanuts and Charlie Brown, and the exhibit is a fun learning experience.
Included during the open house are a free lunch, games, and prizes.
"Another thing that we will be having for fun is in the upper gallery. We're going to be transforming that into a theater, and all day we're going to have different episodes of Peanuts. They'll be able to have different episodes of Peanuts. They'll be able to go into our little theater and check it out for themselves," said Beth Ann Fudala, the special event's director.
Officials say they want more people to be aware of the free programs, classes, and events at the arts center.
