KINGSFORD -- The Kingsford Krush is hoping to get new team uniforms, and they're turning to the community for help in raising the money.

The derby girls are having a scavenger hunt fundraiser Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. starting at the Country Inn and Suites in Iron Mountain.

The hunt costs five dollars with all proceeds being used toward new uniforms.  Derby girls say buying the new team attire for all the members could cost anywhere from $500 to $1,500 depending on which ones are purchased.

'Right now we're wearing kind of hobbled together uniforms that we collected throughout the season; we don't really all match.  The new jerseys will make us look like a more professional sports team," said the derby girls.

Everyone will be grouped into teams of four, and anyone wanting to participate must bring a camera.

Teams also are required to have one teammate that can legally drive a vehicle.
