IRON MOUNTAIN -- On Saturday, starting at noon, residents are welcome to join the Longriders for their annual Toy Run.

The yearly tradition collects toys which will be donated to the Florence St. Vincent de Paul and the Make-a-Difference Day organization.

Make-a-Difference will then donate the toys to the families of the 1432 National Guard unit that was recently deployed out of Iron Mountain.

"The kids need a break and it's such pressure on the parents to pull Christmas off sometimes especially with the troops, it's one less thing that they have to worry about," said Longriders Gary and Ziggy.

The ride starts at noon Saturday at the American Legion in Iron Mountain. Any vehicles can participate and are requested to bring two unwrapped toys.

This year's Toy Run will be dedicated to Eugene Boggetto, a long time friend of the motorcycle community who passed away earlier this summer.
