ROCK -- The Hayes Corn Maze in Rock is adding some extra fun to the festivities this year with a farm scene investigation to find out who killed Farmer Joe.

Tammy Grobar says that the maze will also be more difficult than last year.

"It was a lot harder this year for whatever reason. They had a lot of dead ends. So every time we thought we were getting to a station, it was a dead end," said Grobar.

Enter the seven acre corn maze, as a detective on the search for the suspect.

At each station, clues help narrow down the suspect. Once you have done that, all you have to do is punch your card and continue.

Beware - it can take up to an hour and a half to solve the crime and exit the maze.

After all that investigating, jump on the wagon for a hay ride to more fun and learning.

Owner Lenore Hayes says it's more than just fun; it's also about teaching people about their agriculture.

"Incorporating design and always keeping agriculture first - trying to teach children about animals, fields, corn and hay," said Hayes.

Folks lined up to get a shot at the Pumpkin Slinger. The goal is to get the pumpkin in the boat.

Then spend some time looking for the perfect pumpkin at the pumpkin patch.

Kids can play with animals, have fun on hay stacks, get lost in the Hay Maze, and much more.

"It's one of our favorite things to do. We look forward to every autumn - coming out here. It's one of the best things of fall, coming to the corn maze," Grobar said.

The fun continues through the end of October. For more information click here.
