MARQUETTE -- More than 700 hockey players traveled to Marquette these past few days for a unique hockey tournament.

It was the fourth annual Old-timers Invitational Tournament at Lakeview Arena. The event started on Thursday, and the final championship match took place on Sunday. The tournament is meant for older players divided into age groups, many of which were older than 60. A total of 47 teams competed this year, 38 of which were from out of town. Most players compete every year.

"I'll be here every year. I just keep moving up, 40, 50, 60," said Jeff Peterson, 43, a hockey player.

There were more than 1,000 spectators throughout the tournament. Portions of the money raised benefit the Shawn Dollar fund and the NMU Women's Club team.
