ISHPEMING TWP -- Two vehicles were involved in a rollover accident Friday evening in Ishpeming Township.

It happened just before 5:30 p.m. A red Ford pickup truck was turning left on US-41 from the Shell gas station when it crossed the path of red Ford Focus headed east on US-41. The driver of the Ford Focus hit the pickup and rolled over. Firefighters extricated the driver from the car. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup told police the sun blocked part of his view when he pulled out on the highway. The Marquette County Sheriff's Department, Ishpeming Township Fire Department and Bell EMS responded to the scene.
