MICHIGAMME -- It was a packed house at the Moonshine Art Gallery in Michigamme. People came out to see the new 'Of Moose and Men' art exhibit.

The paintings featured at the gallery are by Bryan Kastar. His recent paintings focus on wildlife in their natural state. Along the way he became fascinated with the moose and continued painting them. Also part of the new exhibit is Ed Gray's pottery. He likes to create his pottery the traditional way using a fire pit.

His work has an Ojibwa native style to it.

"I got kind of excited about the moose in different environments. They're kind of like people being animals have different personalities, some more gentle, some more aggressive," said artist Bryan Kastar.

"A lot of the turtle, the dragon flies, the images that I use is all part of the Ojibwe people," said pottery artist Ed Gray.

If you are interested in viewing the exhibit, it runs through Oct. 27.
