NEGAUNEE -- The Negaunee Miners continued their homecoming celebration Friday afternoon with a pep rally. Stephen Setterlind was named the homecoming king and Kate Rasmussen was named the queen. Each class decorated the school's halls with a different theme. The school's dance team, choir, and cheerleaders all performed for the students.

The school prides itself on a high level of participation.

"Homecoming here is so cool because everybody gets involved in it, there's all sorts of different events, things happening, and so it isn't like a focus on just a few students, and I think that is the thing I like about Negaunee's homecoming," said retired teacher Kathy Houghton.

The homecoming football game has the Miners taking on the Gwinn Modeltowners.
