MARQUETTE -- Norlite Nursing Center and Rehab in Marquette celebrated their big 40th anniversary on Thursday.
To kick off the festivities they had a pig roast lunch with a salad bar, and everyone from the community was invited to join in on the occasion.The center provides a home and care for senior citizens. It is also a place to stay for those recuperating from surgery.
"Oh, it's wonderful, it's great to have people coming in from the community and our staff is very excited also," said Eric Johnson of Norlite. "And I have to give all our credit to our staff and our nursing, because that's what makes this place run."
The center planned to continue the celebration throughout the evening.
