ESCANABA -- From now until September 22, you can drop off canned goods for a good cause at a business in Escanaba.

Family Video is holding its fall food drive to help restock the Salvation Army pantry shelves. The store usually participates every year in the TV6 Canathon. However, they're changing things up this year to fill the current need in the community.

Store workers have put signage up around the store and are spreading the word to customers.

"If they come down to the store, they're going to be entered into a drawing to win some prizes for local businesses," said organizer Tina Day. "And, also, they'll get a prize on the spot if they donate at least three items to our store."

At the end of the food drive, the canned goods will be brought to the Salvation Army to help the needy in the community.
