One injured in Negaunee crash

NEGAUNEE -- The driver of a car was hospitalized after his vehicle slammed into a light pole. The accident happened just after 10 p.m. Tuesday evening on US-41 in front of Super One Foods in Negaunee.

The car had extensive frontend damage, and the male driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was the only person inside the car.

The driver was taken to the hospital. There's no word on his condition or what caused the accident.
