MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- The holiday season is just around the corner, and many stores are expecting strong sales.

Kohl's is getting ahead of the curve by hiring 52,000 seasonal staff at its stores nationwide. 

That's 10 percent more seasonal workers than it hired last year.  Kohl's will hire an average of 41 employees per store.  It plans to fill the jobs by mid November.
    
Other retail giants, like Walmart and Target, are also set to announce their hiring plans soon.
