MARQUETTE -- Nearly 50 people gathered at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Marquette for a community meeting with legislators and faith leaders.

It's called "Finding Our Voice," and it allows members of the community to learn the finer points of political issues directly from the source.

The day covered issues like health care reform and education. It also allowed the public to voice their opinions on what they want from their leaders, like community programs.

"Whatever the passions are that come out of it, we hope that it will emerge into some additional wonderful things as well," said Kayla West, a member of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church.

The church hosts the event every two years, but it is interfaith and open to all of the public.
