One person dies in a house fire early this morning in Arvon Township
BARAGA COUNTY -- Update: Monday, September 10, 2012 8:35 a.m.
The name of the victim in the fatal fire in Arvon Township has been released. According to the Baraga County Sheriff's Department, 53-year-old Mark Allen Stenke of Petoskey was the victim of an early Sunday morning fire in Baraga County.

The Baraga County Sheriff's Office is investigation a fatal structure fire. It happened at 5:05 a.m. Sunday.
The Arvon Township Fire Department was assisted by the Aura Fire Department. They responded to the scene on Ohman Road in Skanee in Arvon Township.
The Michigan State Police Fire Marshal from Petoskey is now on the scene and assisting in the investigation.
The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

One person has apparently died in a house fire in Arvon Township in northeastern Baraga County. Authorities are not releasing any names at this time.
The investigation by the Baraga County Sheriff's Department is still in the early stages.
The home was totally destroyed in the fire. It was reported just after 5 a.m. Sunday.
No cause has been determined. The State Fire Marshal has been called in as part of the investigation.
