MARQUETTE -- Mattson Lower Harbor Park went to the dogs Saturday morning.
Saturday morning marked the fifth annual Strut your Mutt fundraiser for the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter. Over 250 pooches and their masters took part in the charity walk along the park and Lakeshore Boulevard.
It's the biggest fundraiser of the year, and UPAWS had already raised over ten thousand dollars before the event even started.
"We are so grateful at UPAWS for the support of our community. We could not do what we do without our community, it would be impossible," said Ann Brownell, President of UPAWS.
The group ended up beating their fundraising goal and raised $25,000.
