MARQUETTE -- Thousands of people packed Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette Saturday for the fourth annual U.P. Fall Beer Festival.
The event was sponsored by the Michigan Brewers Guild and featured 38 brewers from all over the Great Lakes State.
Just a couple of hours after the beer started flowing, tickets were sold out.
Organizers say the Beer Fest offers a great opportunity to discover new, locally made beers with over 200 samples to choose from.
"It's about sampling beer, getting a little sample, having a smell, having a taste and really just having a nice time on a Saturday in September," said Scott Graham, Executive Director of the Michigan Brewers Guild.
The Michigan Brewers Guild holds four events each year, including this one.
Coming up in October, they will hold a two-day beer festival in Detroit.
