The Marquette County Sheriff's Department has released the name of the man involved in a fatal ATV crash in that happened in Champion Township Saturday night.

The victim is identified as 51-year-old Michael S. Argall of Ishpeming.

Argall was traveling around a downhill curve when he lost control.  The ATV he was riding struck a tree on the shoulder of the road.  Argall was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.

An Ishpeming man is dead following an ATV crash in Champion Township. The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday near Clear Lake.

The 51-year-old male was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to authorities, it appeared the man lost control of his four wheeler and crashed into a tree.

The Marquette County Sheriff's department is leading the investigation into the crash. He was not wearing a helmet.

Michigamme-Spurr First Responders were at the scene, along with Bell Medical.

Authorities have not yet released the victim's name.
