IRON MOUNTAIN -- The Kingsford Crush Roller Derby Team is having a recruitment session this Sunday at the Goodwill building in Iron Mountain.

They're searching for new teammates, referees and non-skating officials.  The team will do a couple of practice jams to show what the sport is all about.

"We will teach you how to stand on your skates, how to fall, how to hit. We'll teach you how to do all of it.  Definitely no physical requirements. A lot of our girls were never athletes; some of them have never skated before coming to skate with us," said Kingsford Crush skater, Stephanie Mieras.

The recruitment will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday or 7 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday.  You must be over 18 to join, and the team will have gear to try on and skate around in.
