SAWYER -- The Marquette-based Care Clinic officially opened its first satellite office in Sawyer Thursday.
Volunteers and staff celebrated the opening of the office Thursday morning at the Sawyer Medical Center.
Officials with the pregnancy resource center say medical professionals in Sawyer requested the clinic's services because of demand in the area.
"We've been approached by the medical community out here at KI Sawyer, and the physicians were interested in having our services from Marquette to help the patients that live out here at KI Sawyer," said Care Clinic Executive Director, Cindy Asher.
The satellite office will provide most of their free services, from pregnancy tests to counseling. Sawyer's Care Clinic will be open on Thursdays from noon to 4 p.m.
