MARQUETTE -- Goodwill is looking for new sponsors to help fund their Workforce Development Program.

Goodwill has partnered with the Country Inn and Suites to provide under-privileged workers the opportunity to learn jobs skills and training.

A grant from the Walmart Corporation made the six-week lesson possible, but new sponsors will be necessary for the program to continue.

Wednesday, a representative from Goodwill and the Country Inn and Suites met with community members at the Bethel Baptist Church in Marquette to spread the word.

"It's going to take folks who have not had an opportunity, have been under-privileged, under-valued, under-appreciated and under-employed, and give them the tools and the opportunity where they are employed and employable," said Charlie Holsworth, General Manager of the Country Inn and Suites.

Anyone interested in getting involved should call (906) 360-6054 or email dbarron@gwmarinette.org.
