MARQUETTE -- Mattson Lower Harbor Park echoed with music this Labor Day weekend. It was, of course, the annual Blues Fest.

Roughly 2,000 people enjoyed the bands this weekend.  One of the bands was The Jimmy's, a horn band from Wisconsin.

The Marquette Area Blues Society organized event for the ninth year in a row.

"Usually you only get a chance to see Blues musicians in the bars, and by having this type of a thing, we've made it a family atmosphere. You can bring the kids down, you can see that we've got older folks, younger folks, middle age, and everyone has a chance to come into the park now and enjoy it," said Blues Society President, Mark Stonerock.

The Blues Fest wrapped up Sunday evening.
