MUNISING -- Dozens of people lined the Anna River in Munising on Sunday for the 14th annual Munising Lions Club Rubber Ducky race.

They started with more than 20 big ducks that were bought and decorated by local businesses. The winner was Potvin's who received half the pot with their duck dressed as Slash from Guns 'N' Roses. The other half was donated to Bay Cliff Health Camp. Then they raced nearly 3,700 regular rubber ducks at $5 each. The winner was Terry St. Martin who won a choice of $3,000 or a cruise for two to Alaska.

More than 100 others received another raffle prize.

"Today was absolutely wonderful, beautiful Labor Day weekend, another beautiful event in the great city of Munising," said Kent Vaughn, chairman of the Lions Club Raffle. "We appreciate all of our sponsors and appreciate everybody that came out for the Munising Lions Club rubber ducky race."

The race takes place every Labor Day weekend.
