It's the last Teen Tuesday of the summer
MARQUETTE -- Teen Tuesdays continued in Lower Harbor Park Tuesday, and it marked the last get-together for the summer. It's an event that's sponsored by Teaching Family Homes, that aims to get teens exposed to new activities.
They're held every other week in Marquette County, and each Tuesday, they have crafts, live music, and a healthy activity. For this Tuesday's activity, they brought in a Thai Chi expert to show the kids a different way to relax.
"So often, the activities are sitting playing an Xbox or a play station. This way, it gets them out of the house. And a wonderful part of it is, they meet other friends that maybe they've never met before, so they develop some friendships that hopefully will continue in their life as well," said event organizer Rich Rossway
The program did receive funding for next summer, and Teen Tuesdays will start back up again next June.
