IRON MOUNTAIN -- This past weekend was the first Korean Veteran dedication ceremony at the top of Pine Mountain in Iron Mountain.

Balloons were released for eight Dickinson County soldiers that were killed in battle and then rifles fired in their honor. Veterans who attended seemed to enjoy the event and showed nothing but pride for their fallen brothers during the ceremony.

"The ceremony was real good, the music was fantastic, and the food is good," said Korean War veteran, Roland Anderson.

A music festival followed immediately after the ceremony.  The fundraiser is to raise money to expand the current veterans memorial.
