MARQUETTE -- Catholic school teachers from all over the Upper Peninsula came together on Monday at St. Michael in Marquette for an autumn workshop.
More than 100 Catholic teachers, priests and pastors filled the cafeteria. At this year's workshop guest speaker Richard Burke, president of Catholic School Management, came out to talk about ways to market Catholic schools.
Teachers also learned how to improve their school's image to increase enrollment.
"So really it's getting the story out," said Superintendent Mark Salisbury. "It's telling the story that we are very successful and effective...really excellent system of schools."
Salisbury also says Catholic schools focus on a complete education of spiritual, academic, social, and physical. All the priests will also attend another work session on Tuesday night. The workshops are funded through the Catholic Extension Society.
