MARQUETTE -- Parts of the Upper Peninsula are suffering severe blood shortages according to U.P. Regional Blood Center officials.
According to the Marquette General service, there is a critical need for O-negative, A-negative and A-positive blood throughout the Upper Peninsula. Officials say the need is greatest in Hancock, Iron Mountain, Marquette and Sault Ste. Marie.
The U.P. Regional Blood Center is asking people to donate if they haven't in the last eight weeks. If you are interested in giving the "gift of life" you can do so at one of the locations below.
