SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY -- There has been a phone outage reported in Schoolcraft County.

The outage, which began on Monday evening, is affecting land lines in the Manistique and Cooks areas. Those exchanges are 341 and 644.

Officials say a major fiber line from Century Tel has been cut downstate, but 911 is not effected by this outage so in case of an emergency, you can still dial 911.

There's no word on when the line will be repaired.
