ESCANABA -- Many people think of the rides, games, and attractions when they think of the U.P. State Fair, but the variety of fair food is a major draw that also keeps people coming back.
There are 77 food vendors at this year's fair and most of them are located on the midway. The fair food ranges from fresh fish to Croatian chicken, Cajun, and Asian food.
"We have a lot of popular places," said Concessions Manager Scott Hanson. "When you come out, you can usually tell by the lines. Some of our mainstays have really long lines, especially around the dinner hours. We have a lot of great food at the U.P. State Fair. We'd love to see you here this weekend."
The fair continues in Escanaba until Sunday.
